This is a very nice looking well made colored patch for the ARTIC GAS AND AEROSAL SAMPLING PROGRAM , NOAA-1983-1985-CIRES. It's missions were flown using P-3 type of aircraft by the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration. The missions were flown to study the "ARTIC HAZE" theory of pollution in the Artic. the patch measures 3 1/2 inches wide. There 's not to many of these patches around. Great for the collector.
